Employers are responsible for covering the first aid requirements of their employees working outside their main offices or worksite. This could be workers who travel long distances or those who work at different premises for each job.
Our BS8599-1 kit has been created to be completely British Standards compliant with its contents, the kit is available in both a soft nylon bag with separate compartments.

Similar to the old HSE kits the content of the new BS8599 First Aid Kits are appropriate for use based on a combination of the risk of the workplace and the number of employees and visitors. The guidance below can be used to ascertain which new kit you require for your workplace - please note that it is the duty of the employer to make an assessment of the first aid needs appropriate to the circumstances of your workplace and the information below acts as a guide only.
Examples of low risk environments are shops, offices and libraries.
Examples of high risk environments are most construction sites, slaughterhouses, working with chemicals or sharp metals.
Suitable for low risk environments with less than 25 employees or high risk environments with fewer than 5 employees.
Suitable for low risk environments with 25-50 employees or high risk environments with 5-25 employees.
Suitable for low risk environments with more than 50 employees; use one kit for every 100 employees or high risk environmrnts with more than 25 employees; use one kit for every 25 employees.
The BS8599 Travel kits should be provided for all employees who work off site or who may not have access to first aid treatment and/or eyewash solution in the location where they are working.
Orders will usually be received within 2 working days throughout the UK, and orders over £100.00 are delivered free. Our small order delivery charge is only £6.95.
Please note that deliveries to some addresses in Scotland and Northern Ireland may incur additional carriage charges. We will contact you beforehand if this is the case.
Orders are sent by either Royal Mail or via Courier.
If for some reason your order is likely to take any longer than 3 business days we will contact you via email or telephone to let you know.
Unfortunately we currently do not ship outside of the UK.
In the unlikely event of your Goods being damaged or faulty in any way you must report this within 7 working days of receipt.
Hygiene First (Medical) Limited reserves the right to refuse any claims made after 7 working days. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Damaged, faulty or missing items will be replaced free of charge. Alternatively you may choose to return the Goods to us for a full refund.
If, within 7 days of receipt of your order, you decide to cancel, you may return the goods for a refund.
Where Hygiene First (Medical) Limited have delivered your order correctly in good faith, we will refund the value of your goods plus any VAT, but less a 10% charge for administration and less a carriage charge (this is currently £6.50 but may be varied from time to time, and will be our normal small order carriage charge as quoted on the website).
